PTThe five works which comprise this series are a result of a commission from the Portuguese Consulate in London. They interrogate the notion of National identity and our response to it.
When you think of Portugal, what comes to mind? Its rich history? Its food? Its beaches?
Does the past shape our present? I would argue, unquestionably so.
Does the same past hinder our future? This, I leave for you to discuss.
Each of the five works is an edition of three. Hand printed and made using a technique known as “décollage”. The artist’s hand is very much present and, as a result, each, unique.
