To read, write, read and then write some more
To write an extended essay, is for me an exercise with conflicting emotions.
I can’t purport to enjoy the writing process and yet the reading is really fulfilling. To encounter a text that opens new worlds of thought, or even one which chimes with your own, is a uniquely satisfying experience. The issue for me is, and always has been, how to convey that eloquently to a wider audience. It’s a very long process.
To make the writing process more satisfying and the content more relevant, my intention with this dissertation was to insert an element of experimental writing. Its purpose primarily, to act as a conduit for subversion. As a consequence, the subversive element may offend some and if that is the case then I can only suggest they reflect on the content and recalibrate their humanity.
